This Privacy Policy explains what personal data Similo (“we”, “us”) processes when you use this website, and your rights regarding that data. The data controller is the operator named in our Legal Notice.

1. Data we process

• Search queries. The company or brand name you search for is sent to our AI provider to generate results. Please do not include personal or confidential information in your searches.
• Technical data & IP address. Like any website, our hosting infrastructure processes connection data (including your IP address) to deliver the site and to protect it from abuse (rate-limiting and bot prevention).
• Usage analytics. We use analytics to understand how the site is used (e.g. searches performed, pages viewed) in an aggregated form.

2. Service providers

We rely on the following processors, some located outside the EU (including the United States), with appropriate safeguards in place:

• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
• Anthropic — AI generation of search results (receives your search query).
• Amplitude — product usage analytics.
• Logo.dev and Google — company logos and favicons are loaded from these services based on company domains.

3. Legal basis

We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving the service (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

4. Retention

Technical and security data is kept only as long as necessary for the purposes above. Analytics data is retained in aggregated form. Search results may be cached temporarily to improve performance.

5. Your rights

6. Cookies & local storage

We use only the storage necessary to operate the site and to collect the aggregated analytics described above. We do not use advertising cookies.
